  1. In a microwave bowl, add ghee and keep it on high for 15 seconds.
  2. Add grated carrot in the bowl, mix it well and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
  3. Add sugar, milk and mawa* mix it well and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
  4. Take it out and stir it. Put it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
  5. Repeat step 4 until the milk is soaked by carrot (I repeated the step thrice i.e. for 6 minutes).
  6. Add dry fruit powder and mix it well.
  7. Keep in the microwave for 1 minute.
  8. Take it out and garnish it with grated almonds#, the halwa is ready to serve.
  9. Note 1: * In case you are using frozen mawa/ khoya then grate it before adding. I am using khoya/mawa without sugar, in case you are using khoya with sugar then reduce amount of sugar from ingredients accordingly.
  10. Note 2: # Cut the almonds into vertical thin slices, I like raw almonds so I am using raw almonds here. You can deep fry in clarified butter and use that. You may use almond, pistachios, cashews as per your likings.
