Ingredients of Turkish Delight

  5. Add sugar syrup slowly a bit at a time to mixture & beat it until all sugar syrup is used..
  6. scrape sides sown with a spatula.
  7. bring to a gentle boil (medium heat) while stirring. Once boiling, turn heat down to simmer for one hour. Stir frequently..
  8. Turn off heat & add rose water.
  9. line 8 x 8 pan with oil & baking paper. pour in mixture and let cool completely. about 5 hours.
  10. sift 1 cup powdered sugar & 1/4 cup of corn starch into a large bowl..
  11. Dust the turkish delight with icing sugar. Turn out onto a surface dusted liberally with icing sugar. remove the baking paper. cut slab of turkish delight into squares using a pizza cutter or lightly oiled knife. Put the squares of turkish delight into bowl of icing sugar & mix well..
